ABOUT THE STUDY
Identity & Psychological Well-Being Among Black Muslim Emerging Adults
The purpose of this research is to explore the lived experiences of Black Muslim emerging adults between the ages of 18-25 years old who reside in the United States, as it relates to their intersecting racial, cultural/ethnic, and religious identities. This research will also explore the impact of these identities on subjective reports of psychological well-being, including coping, resilience and life-satisfaction. Black Muslim emerging adults have been selected for this research study as there is a dearth of literature which examines the concept and experience of emerging adulthood vis a vis identity, faith, race/culture and religion.
